Kedungu offers fun, mellow waves — usually less crowded than Bali’s most famous spots — ideal for improvers, with the occasional punchy day for advanced surfers. When conditions line up, we also head to nearby breaks along Bali’s west coast.

I’m a complete beginner – Is surfing with Seaside Tribe for me?

Some of our guests have never surfed (or only tried once) and ask: Is surfing with Seaside Tribe really for me? Absolutely — if you’re curious, a little adventurous, and ready to challenge yourself.

How long should I stay at Seaside Tribe?

• 2–3 nights: A first taste of the Tribe — perfect if you’ve never surfed and aren’t sure if it’s for you, or if you’re on a tight schedule but don’t want to miss out on us.

• 4–7 nights: For beginners and intermediates who want a focused week of surfing — with video feedback, steady progress, and insights into where there’s still room to grow, all mixed with plenty of fun along the way.

• 7–21 days: Great for fully committed surfers looking for a solid rhythm, regular video feedback, and visible improvement. (We’ve even had first-time beginners stay for three weeks. If you’re fit and ready for a full transformation, it’s absolutely possible.)

When is the best time / season to come?

In short - all year round: Warm water and fun waves for all levels, though each season brings its own rhythm. The dry season offers more consistency, while the wetter months can feel like a low season for surf — yet that’s often when you’ll score emptier line-ups and a calmer atmosphere in the water. Is Seaside Tribe a good place to rebuild my surf confidence?

If you’ve been surfing for a while but feel nervous after a tough session or crowded line-up, Kedungu is an ideal place to reconnect with the ocean. Gentle but “real” waves make it easy to take one step back — and move forward with confidence.

Amazing place! Very quiet, hidden in the middle of a small Balinese village away from the usual tourism. Super close to the beach, cozy community area and beautiful pool surrounded by a tropical garden. Adi & Irene used a lot of recycled material for the building and decoration and the interior of the rooms is just perfect. As soon as you enter this hidden gem, you’ll feel warmly welcomed and won’t want to leave!
